DDX3X genetic syndrome

“We are nominating my daughter Maeve for an adapted bike. Maeve is
almost 6 years over and loves being outside and moving. Unfortunately,
Maeve was born with a rare genetic syndrome called DDX3X and cerebral palsy which impacts her ability to move independently. Maeve currently uses a wheelchair as she cannot walk or sit up on her own. Maeve works so hard weekly to improve the body she was given and desperately wants to explore the world around her. She has overcome so much in her short life (heart surgery and countless other procedures/surgeries). An adapted bike would allow her to experience the joy of riding a bike which is something she would truly love. We want Maeve to experience all the same parts of childhood that a typical little girl would and an adaptive bike would help her do this!” Dana Maeve’s Mother
