At one of the three Packet Pick-Ups ( click here to view).

What is in this "packet" ?

We are not really sure who started calling them packets since you will not be receiving a "packet" lol but it includes your shirt, bib, any additional items you purchased and sponsor materials. You will will receive your finisher medal and pint glass when you cross the finish line.

Can I pick up my friends packet at Packet Pickup?

Yes, a friend can pick-up your items. They will just need to bring with them to show the volunteers a printed copy of your registration and a picture of your ID.

Is the event walker or runner friendly?

BOTH! The course is certified and timed, so if you are a serious runner this race is for you! You also have the option to skip the Beer Stops throughout the 5K for a discounted price if you really want to only focus on the run. But don't worry there will be more beer for you at the Awards Ceremony. If you are a walker wanting to enjoy the route with some friends along with some delicious beer this race is also for you! Take your time and enjoy yourself in the beautiful downtown St. Charles and Geneva area.

What form of payment can I use day of?

You can use cash, credit or debit the day of the event.

Can I register Day Of?

Yes, you can. Anytime between 10 am - 11:45 am. The event will sell out at 1,000 participants. Don't wait, pre-register today to be safe!

I don't want to run or walk but want to attend the Awards Ceremony to support my family, friend or whoever. Can I still attend?

Yes, you can attend the Awards Ceremony. You will receive two (2) drink tickets, access to food, and live entertainment. Make sure to register for this!

Can we get our stuff day of the race?

Yes, we will have check-in available from 10:00 am - 11:45 am. We highly suggest attending a Packet Pick-Up so you don't have to run back to your car (unless you want the warm up for the 5K).

If I register for no beer stops do I have to be 21 years old?

Yes, the in-person 5K for Hops for Hope is 21 years and older only. This will be strictly enforced and everyone must have their ID present day of the event. Also, you will still receive 2 drink tickets to redeem at the Awards Ceremony. If you choose to use them GREAT! If not you can inform the volunteer that you would not like the tickets. NO BABIES/STROLLERS ARE ALLOWED!

Are babies/strollers allowed?

No, sorry but no one under 21 years old is allowed at Hops for Hope 5K. We know a baby will not be stealing your beer but due to local ordinances we can't allow anyone under 21 years old into the event.

Are dogs allowed?

No, unless they are service animals.

What if I don't have my ID the day of the race?

Unfortunately you will not be able to participate in Hops for Hope 5K and there will be no refund. Due to City and Park District ordinance there is no exception to this rule. Please do not forget your ID! Registration is 1 hour and 45 minutes long so worse case scenario you may have time to run home (pun intended).

Where do I park?

The parking lot for Mount Saint Mary Park off of Prairie Street is very limited in spots. Additional parking can be found off of Second Street and Illinois Street (public parking lot) and off of First Street (parking garages). Please no parking in front of the local businesses (The Jalapeno Grille, Sammy's Bikes, and El Diamante Hand Car Wash & Detailing). Click here for suggested parking map

I still don't get it, what is this event? Drinking and running? Seems weird!

You will run or walk the 5K and have 6 Beer Stops to enjoy a 3 oz. sample of craft beer. Once the run has concluded you will enjoy more beer with 2 drink tickets that can be redeemed for 2 of your favorite pints of beer you sampled during the race. Virtual 5K Details

What is a virtual 5K?

Participants have the flexibility to support our cause while participating in the event remotely at your own time, pace and even place. It is a win- win, since participants can choose the day, the weather and the route while raising money and having some fun along the way. You can choose to run outside by yourself or in a small socially distant group or you can run inside on a treadmill! The options are endless this year. Virtual races are perfect for those that may not be ready for an in-person event yet. Also, it allows people from all over to participate, not just the Chicagoland area like previous years. Reminder - you can run/walk whenever and wherever between 9/29 - 10/2.

Can I really run or walk anywhere I like?

Yes, you can do the 5K from a treadmill or from a path in another state! The options are endless and that is the perk of a virtual 5K.

Since the 5K is virtual do I have to be 21 years old?

Since the event is virtual and there are no Beer Stops anyone any age can participate in the Virtual 5K.
